Microsoft Outlook 2016 / Office 365: Setting up POP3 email accounts
1) Open Outlook 2016/Office 365. Click the File tab on the Outlook toolbar and select Info tab in the left menu. Then, just above the Account Settings button, click Add Account.
2) Enter your full email address in the Account Setup wizard and click on Advanced options
3) Tick the checkbox Let me set up my account manually and select Connect Option.
4) Choose the account type, select POP from the listing
5) Under Incoming mail
- Server: mail.domain.com ( Replace domain.com with your domain name)
- Port: 110
6) Under Incoming mail
- Server: mail.domain.com ( Replace domain.com with your domain name)
- Port: 25 or 587
- Select None under Encryption method
7) Click Connect button to proceed
8) Enter password for your email address in the popup mail settings
9) Tick the option for “Save this password” and then click OK.
10) Account setup is complete.
12) Go to File> Account Setting> Double click your email address> More Settings.
13) Click on Outgoing server tab to check on My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication as it is our current mail server policy to allow sending from the mail client.
14) Congrats, your email account now is ready to use.
